Help the battle on Cancer and boost your CV
Cancer Research UK opened their bargain mega store at Warwickshire Shopping Park in Binley, Coventry on the 4th February and is calling out for volunteers to support the new store.
Can you spare some time to support the UK’s battle against cancer?
Not only can you help Cancer Research by volunteering your time, you can also boost your CV by working towards an NVQ in Retail with Derby College.
This nationally recognised qualification offers volunteers who work for over 16 hours a week a variety of courses available in Retail, Team Leading and Customer Services in conjunction with Cancer Research UK.
Cancer Research Store Manager Michelle Callow said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for those who love helping others.”
“Not only will this experience offer you the opportunity to earn a NVQ which can result in future employment it also provides a memorable experience, meeting new people and building friendships with customers and staff.”
“We are in need of volunteers who can spare some time each week and we are especially busy on Fridays and Saturdays, and staff would have responsibilities such as sorting and replenishing stock, steaming garments and serving customers.”
Michelle also said “Although we only opened a few weeks ago, we have had brilliant support from the local community and hope to be a valued addition to them and the Warwickshire Shopping Park.”
“We have already been welcomed into Binley with open arms and we hope the success of the store continues and more people volunteer and become part of our Cancer Research store team.”
The Cancer Research store is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm. Please Contact Michelle to find out more. Call 02476 440552 or pop into store to discuss your availability with her.
